New & Used Open-Side Shipping Containers For Sale

An open-side, or side-opening container, provides a versatile solution for diverse shipping and storage needs. While they have similar features to standard shipping containers, they feature an additional bi-fold door on one side, making them perfect for easy loading and unloading of oversized cargo. They are available in various sizes, including 20ft, 40ft, and high-cube options.

As open-side storage containers, these units provide improved accessibility and visibility, making them ideal for storing items that need frequent access. The bi-fold doors on the side of the container enable easy retrieval of stored items and allows forklifts to enter without difficulty, making it suitable for palletized storage.

  • I would definitely use Boxhub again. Ordering was easy and delivered on the date specified. The delivery driver Dave was awesome. I ordered a 40 foot container. It took sometime but he got it in place. Definitely a two thumbs up . If you need a container just remember. There are a lot of scams out there. They take your money and don't ever deliver. Boxhub maybe a couple hundred more. To me it was worth it not to have a headache. Thanks Boxhub !!!

  • We are very pleased with our BoxHub experience. The process was easy, and setting up delivery was a breeze. We worked with Steven J at BoxHub, Elizabeth set up delivery and Leon was our delivery driver. Everything went smoothly and the containers are exactly what Steven said they would be. Elizabeth gave us Leon's name when scheduling and he called us the evening before hand as promised. Leon maneuvered his truck on our challenging driveway/hill with grace and a smile, then dropped the containers exactly where we needed them. Thank you for doing as you say you will.
    Caroline Ryan

How Can You Use Open-Side Containers?

Specialized Cargo Handling

Open-sided containers are perfect for handling specialized cargo that requires side loading. This includes vehicles, heavy machinery, and equipment that cannot be loaded through the end doors of a standard container. The bi-fold doors on the side of the containers facilitate the use of forklifts and other loading equipment, making the process more efficient and less time-consuming

Outdoor Events

Open-sided containers are commonly used as portable bars, ticket booths, or merchandise stands at outdoor events such as festivals, concerts, or fairs. The large side openings can be converted into welcoming entrances or display windows, offering a unique and cost-effective solution for businesses looking for customizable and mobile premises.

Market Stalls

In urban areas or markets, open-sided containers can serve as stalls for vendors selling goods like fresh produce, clothing, or handmade crafts. The wide openings make it easy for customers to browse and interact with merchandise.

Construction Site Storage and Offices

Open-side containers can be used on construction sites for storing and organizing materials such as lumber, piping, or construction equipment. The large doors allow for easy access to tools and equipment, and the containers can be customized with interior partitions and fixtures to create a functional workspace.
